Why this chapter
Where you place yourself in the lane decides what you see, who sees you and how much room you have when something happens. This chapter explains positioning on the straight and in bends, how to read a bend before you are in it, and why your speed has to be settled before the bend begins. It is the skill that separates a rider who follows the road from one who is surprised by it.
