This belongs to the practical test
The Norwegian motorcycle test opens with the examiner asking you to demonstrate and explain part of the machine. It is a different exam from the theory test, and a different skill: you pass it by having done the movements before, not by having read about them.
The theory behind each check is in the motorcycle theory course. What is here is the performance: the order of the movements, and the sentence you say while making them.
Every task is built the same way
Ask is the examiner's own words. Show is the movements in the right order. Say is the sentence you say out loud while you do it – a correct check done in silence is half an answer.
Where the regulations set a figure, the figure is given: tread depth is at least 1.6 mm in summer and 3 mm in the winter period, the same requirement as for a car. Where it is in the owner's manual, like the chain slack, you say so.

Wheels and tyres
Two contact patches the size of two palms. Everything you do goes through them, and the examiner knows it.

Front and rear brake
Two brakes you work separately. The examiner wants to see you check them separately too.

Final drive, frame and swingarm
What transmits the power and what holds the geometry. Both are the rider’s responsibility, and both are checked by eye.

Suspension, steering and fork
What keeps the wheels on the road. Play and poor damping are felt first at the moment you need the grip.

Lights, warning devices and exhaust
On two wheels the light is often the only thing others fix on in time. That makes a dead lamp more than a formality.

Clothing and load capacity
The syllabus lists your own protective gear as a check point on the vehicle. That is not a slip — it is the passive safety the machine does not have.
