Why this chapter
The rider is responsible for the motorcycle being in a safe condition – and on two wheels a fault has consequences sooner. This chapter walks you through the points you should be able to check yourself, what the warning lamps are trying to tell you, and what to do when something fails under way. It is also the foundation for the safety check on the practical test.
